Privacy policy

Web Studio builds websites for small businesses in the Maldives, and operates this site. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email info@webstudiomv.com and we'll answer.

We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the technical basics any website receives.

• —Quote form — the name, email address, and message you type into the form. Nothing is collected from that form until you submit it.
• —Cookie choice — whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, stored in your own browser.
• —Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is ordinary web-server logging and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we never request them by email or message. Invoices and account details come directly from us as part of an agreed project.

Your form submission is used to reply to you — to answer your question, discuss what you need, and quote for the work. If we go ahead with a project, we keep the correspondence as the record of what was agreed.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.

This site currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is your answer to the cookie banner, kept in local storage so you are not asked on every visit. Clearing your browser storage removes it and the banner returns.

The banner offers optional analytics and marketing categories so the choice is available if we ever add those tools. Nothing in those categories is loaded today, and if that changes this page will be updated before it does.

A small number of service providers necessarily handle your information as part of running the site:

• —Our hosting provider, which serves the site and keeps the server logs described above.
• —Our email provider, which carries the message from the form to our inbox and any reply back to you.

We do not pass your information to anyone else, and we do not sell or rent it. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Enquiries are kept while we are in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Records relating to paid work are kept as long as we need them for accounting and tax. If you would rather we deleted your enquiry sooner, ask and we will.

You can ask us to:

• —Send you a copy of the information we hold about you.
• —Correct anything that is wrong.
• —Delete your enquiry and our correspondence, where we are not required to keep it.
• —Stop contacting you.

Email info@webstudiomv.com and we will handle it. You can change your cookie choice at any time from the cookie settings on this site.

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are sent to our own server rather than to a third party. No website can promise perfect security, but we keep what we hold to a minimum, which is the most reliable protection there is.

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
